Salmonella Outbreak Linked to Pet Guinea Pigs
The CDC recently reported that between 2015 and 2017, nine cases of Salmonella infection have been linked to pet guinea pigs. Animals carrying the bacteria can appear clean and healthy, so officials recommend that veterinarians stress to their clients the importance of good hygiene measures.
